WAIT A MINUTE PREACHER!

Wait A Minute Preacher!
As a preacher, never get angry that your people are not using or running with the words you teach. Don't get angry with them if they are not running with your message (at least not all the times). The message may not be for now, it may be for an appointed time in their lives. Remember Habakkuk 2:2-3, that says "...write the vision and make it plain, so that He that reads will run with it but remember the vision is for an appointed time. It will surely speak at the end and it will not lie. Though it tarries wait for it. Because it tarries, it will surely come; it will not tarry".
As a preacher/teacher, yours is to wait for it, the Word will surely work in their lives, they will get it. Some listening to you will get it instantly and run with it, some will get it later and thank God for your life but some will get it much later in their lives and they will never ever forget you; even when you are no longer with them.
Yours Is to write down the vision in their hearts clearly not vaguely (make it plain), wait for it in the place of prayer, praying that these words will enlighten their understanding and be profiting to them. Your place is not to struggle to make them 'get it or catch it', or force them to catch it.
If you remember that it is His word; God's word and not yours, you will have a better understanding, okay. The scriptures says "He (God) gave His Word and great was the company of those who publish it. As a publisher, like other publishers, you are to publish your work (His Word) and pray that people buy it and ask for more. Let's stop the skimmings and manipulations. God's words doesn't need that.
I am aware that publishers need to be apt at their skills for marketing to sell their works and I am not saying preachers of God's word shouldn't serve God's words or their messages in 'Gold Plates' or get better at it; my simple saying is, stop struggling over God's word, pray and talk to Him. Stop trying to force them to get it. Instead of getting angry over the people not getting it or receiving the word, go back to the owner of the word on your kneels and ask the holy spirit to help you and the people to understand better.
You don't have to manipulate or skim the people, if it is His Word, it won't fall to the ground unless it has accomplished what He has sent it to do. The entrance of His word, giveth light and understanding to the simple.
See yourself as "The Sower". Keep praying that the cares of this world will not choke God's Word in their hearts, pray that the enemy will not deceive them nor remove God's Word from their hearts. It is always good to pray that the hearts of your people will be fertile for God's Word.
As a preacher, it is good to sharpen your skills, get refresher courses and you owe it a duty to present God's Words in the best ways you can and as the Holy spirit helps you.
The Word and the People are His, don't manipulate either. Be patient with the people.
Its okay to teach the people principles, its okay to mentor and train people, I admonish it.
Your people are not useless, don't get frustrated: His Word works!
Personal Experience - about 8years ago, my pastor in the branch where I was then, Rev. Ikenna Orakwue, preached a message "YOU DROPPED IT, PICK IT UP" and I will never forget that message, its in my heart. It may not have been relevant or useful then but it is what I am falling back on now, that is why you are reading this epistle today.
Please Wait a minute preacher, don't give up on your people or the word of God, don't give up on God . His Word works and there is power in the word of God. Remain Blessed and Motivated.

IMPAIRED VISION

IMPAIRED VISION
If your today is richer than your tomorrow, there is a problem: there is a disconnect. We are supposed to be richer today than yesterday; richer tomorrow than today. If your wardrobe is richer than your vision, you are suffering from impaired vision.

ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM IMPAIRED VISION?
Here are some Symptoms of Impaired vision
»´If your eyes are not able to see beyond your nose’, (if you are not able to see beyond today) then you are suffering from impaired vision.
»If you are sacrificing (destroying) your tomorrow today you are suffering from impaired vision.
»If you are mortgaging your future for things that expires now, then you vision is really in need for a check.
»If you are unwilling to do something about your tomorrow today, it’s nothing but a grave symptom of impaired vision.
»Failure to believe in yourself or in your dream, is a sign of impaired vision.

Things that aid impaired vision:- unbelief, inferiority complex, superiority complex, procrastination, guilt of the past, self limitation, lack, poor motivation, sin, wrong mentoring and wrong association, poor / bad education, condemnation, abundance, dependence on inheritance, human trust, etc.

IMPAIRED VISION IS NOT ACTUALLY ABOUT PHYSICAL BLINDNESS OR DISABILITY, but the inability to see beyond where you are: the inability to see or believe in your tomorrow. Impaired vision is the inability to see beyond your limitations. It is allowing your vision to be limited.

If impaired vision is really about physical blindness or the blind not seeing, then we would never have heard of Cobhams Asuquo - Cobhams Asuquo is a Nigerian musician, producer, and songwriter. In 2005, Asuquo signed on with Sony ATV London as a songwriter. After working as Head of Audio Productions at a local label, Questionmark Entertainment, he set up his own recording facility in 2006. He was responsible for Asa's highly acclaimed international album ASA and has been mentioned on many artists' sleeve credits as producer and writer. He has won several awards in the music and film scene in Africa and beyond. Cobhams talked about the advantages of being blind in an interview he had with the BBCNews Cobhams Also spoke at the TEDxEuston in 2012 where he talked about the gift of blindness. All the above mentioned folks are people who have become notably successful in life despite being blind. Their vision was never impaired though they couldn’t see physically. The each pursued and accomplished their visions. They were able to see beyond their limitations.

WHAT THEN IS VISION?
Vision is the mental picture of tomorrow. The picture of what is not in existence. Vision is the ability to see what is yet to come. Vision is also the ability to see what you can do or what you can become. Whatever you can see, you can become. The Lord asked Abraham after departing from lot, what can you see and that became the difference between Abraham and Lot (who chose to settle for today not considering tomorrow).

Vision is the ability to see what God wants you to become. It is the capacity to see where God wants you to be in life. It is an insight into what God has in plan for you. An ‘expo’ into what you are inside of you; that is yet to come into reality.

Vision can also be defined as “Purpose” or ‘Set Of Purpose’. Vision can be defined as set of Guidelines. Vision is also the power to dream.

My special definition of Vision is “Bringing tomorrow into today and living today for tomorrow”.

If you have the revelation of tomorrow, you wouldn’t waste or damage today. When you have the revelation of what will become of what you have in your hands today, you wouldn’t give up; neither will you give in to pressure.

When you have clear cut vision in life, you have taking the first step out or away from having an impaired vision. Vision is not just the writing of your vision statement or a set of visions on Paper but clear cut understanding of what you are to do and protecting it with your Life.

One of the greatest problem of humanity; If not the greatest, is the problem of discovery; the problem of visioning (the ability to see (revelation))! "For it is the joy of the Almighty God to hide the secret (the deep or uncommon) things of this world but it is the glory and honor of kings to find it (search it out). Finding vision in life is an assignment given to all.

HOW TO ESCAPE IMPAIRED VISION
The ability to unleash and pursue the vision for your life is the cure for impaired vision. It begins with discovery, then sacrificing and then pursuance of the fulfillment of that vision; that is the total eradication of any impaired vision.

The inner conviction to dream, pursue & fulfill your vision delivers you from impaired vision.

The reason why many people never succeed in life is because the live for today only. Never live for today only.

Seek to discover what your tomorrow/future is and protect it with your life.

If what you are doing today hampers on the tomorrow of your life, then your vision is impaired.

The Hard Way The Only Way; - is never jeopardize your today or your tomorrow.
Recently I asked why a popular person in our society in not contesting in the forth-coming elections, I was told he sold his tomorrow yesterday. Esau sold his future to Jacob in the bible for a plate of porridge. Many like Esau never value their future, their tomorrow. They never believe that whatever they do today directly impacts on their tomorrow.

Political opponents know that if they can get you to soil your today, little is what becomes of your political ambitions (tomorrow).

Believe in yourself. Believe in your today. Believe in your tomorrow. Don’t allow your today to be richer than your tomorrow, be richer today than yesterday; be richer tomorrow than today. Invest in your tomorrow. Value yourself, value your vision, value your dream, value your today, and value your tomorrow, value your integrity.

Keep your integrity and character intact.

If you’ve lost it, do all you can to get it back!

BIG QUESTIONS ARE-
  1. What are you doing today about your tomorrow?
  2. How are you handling today?
  3. Is there anything you are doing today that can rubbish your tomorrow?
  4. What can you do about it?
  5. Are you where you ought to be, if not, how can you get there?
  6. What would you do better if giving another opportunity?
  7. What is your vision, how much is it worth?
  8. How can you achieve it?
  9. How much are you worth?
  10. How much is your tomorrow worth?
  11. How much have you invested in your tomorrow/future?
  12. Is your wardrobe richer than your vision?

In the next edition, I will bring you people and organizations that failed as a result IMPAIRED VISION. I will also bring some who succeed in conquering IMPAIRED VISION.
