One Samuel is worth more than the many friends in your life |
7 PEOPLE
YOU REALLY NEED IN YOUR LIFE
A BURDEN SHARER
1. They
understand what you are carrying inside or you
2. They most
times have walked where you are walking
3. They are not
intimidated about your vision or mission in life.
4. They are
interested in your fulfillment and are contented with theirs.
5. A Burden Sharer
awakens and inspires you spiritually.
6. A Burden
Sharer makes you feel at peace with that momentous dream God’s given you. (At
times you find out that there is someone or some people you share your vision
with and you feel at peace, not threatened but secured. Most times these people
or persons have had an experience with what you are going or about to go
through).
When God gives you a vision, look for a burden sharer else the
wrong person will destroy or kill your vision. Sometimes your best friend can be your worst enemy.
Don’t just look for experts; some experts don’t have the experience;
look for experts with experience.
You need a burden sharer to take you to the next level. Elizabeth, the mother of John (the
Baptist), wife of Zacharias, was a burden sharer to Mary the mother of Jesus (Christ)….(see Luke 1: 26 – 57)
A DREAM MAKER
1. A dream
maker leads you to the height you are suppose to get to but they never even get
there themselves. They have never gotten there before. Samuel was a dream maker
to Saul (king of Israel).
2. A Dream
Maker helps you clarify your mission in life.
3. A Dream
Maker points you in the right direction. Samuel changed Saul’s life direction.
One person’s counsel or advice can change your life forever. You do not need
too many people; you just need the right person. What that person tells you can
save you a life-time of trauma and going through.
4. They (Dream
Makers) make you go up higher; they challenge you.
5. A Dream
Maker empowers you to go unto new heights. They move you from frustration to
successful, from frustrated leader to a successful leader, from frustrated
follower to a successful leader.
6. A Dream
Maker stops you from doing small things but moves you to the next big thing.
7. One Samuel is worth more than the many friends in your life.
A WAY MAKER
Who is a way
maker?
A Way Maker
is someone who has been there before you.
A Way Maker is generational. A Way Maker thinks ahead of
himself/herself. When you are faced with obstructions/obstacles, you need a way
maker (someone who has been there before you). A Way Maker clears the way for
you.
Sometimes,
God brings accomplished people (people who have already achieved their own
pursuit or people who are doing well in their own field(s)/rights) into our
lives and the help with our lives/visions.
John the
Baptist was a good example. He was A Way Maker for Jesus (Christ the Messiah).
You don’t
walk the path a way maker has created or channeled and criticize/despise Him or
Her. Jesus did not despise or criticize John the Baptist.
1. Way Makers
are like ‘Bulldozers’ – they clear the way for you.
2. Way Makers
change the rules before you appear.
3. They move
heavy stuffs (off (your) the way).
4. They
publicly endorse you
5. They put
their reputation at your disposal or behind you.
A FATHER
1. A Father
takes care of your of your upbringing (They see to your growing up)
2. A Father is
someone who takes you as his own (Esther 2:15).
3. A Father
instructs you.
4. A Father is
concerned and interested in who you become in life.
5. A Father never wants you to fail.
6. A Father is
someone who has authority over you.
7. A Father keeps
watch over you, no matter your level in life.
8. A Father is someone you are answerable to.
9. A Father is
someone whose shoulder you can climb and rely on.
10. A Father is
someone who cleanses up your mess.
11. A Father is supposed
to be a pointer to you in life.
12. A Father is
someone you have traits of him in you.
The
Father here may not necessarily mean your biological father (the father who
gave birth to you). It could be someone who fit the above description in your
life. In most cases, our spiritual father is expected to best fit this role in
our life.
Everyone
needs a Father-Figure in life. Whether or not you have biological parents, you
need to get yourself “A Father”. Someone who will guide you, help you in your
decision making and lend you help.
Mordecai
became Esther’s father (Esther 2 : 7 – 8). Mordecai wasn’t the biological
father of Esther but he played the role of a father in Esther’s life. He
ensured her growing up and pointed her in the right direction. You will see
Mordecai’s efforts in Esther becoming a Queen when you read the story of Esther
in the bible.
Another
great example is Eli and Samuel. Eli became the father of Samuel by way of
responsibility. He became responsible for Samuel’s growing up and his pointer
to how to respond to God’s call in his Life.
A
father will give the right counsel
